Anticorruption officers confiscated more than 8 kg of gold without state hallmark from several divisions of a Chisinau department store. The silver objects were assessed at 350,000 lei, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a communique, the Center for Combating Corruption and Economic Crime says the silver items were displayed on shelves alongside over 2,600 gold objects. The company sold the items without a license. The economic entity is liable to a fine of 3,000 to 10,000 lei. The silver was taken to the State Hallmarking Supervision Chamber to be examined. Afterward it will be declared evidence.
