Dan Capcelea and Natalia Luchiv of the dance sport club “Codreanca” will represent Moldova at the World Youth 10-Dance Championships that will take place in Chisinau on April 30, Info-Prim Neo reports. Petru Gozun, president of the Dance Sport Federation and of “Codreanca” club, told a news conference that Dan Capcelea and Natalia Luchiv have trained together for half a year, but each of them has danced for over 10 years. Dancers from 33 countries will compete in the championship. “I think the final battle will be between Moldova and Russia. The pairs from Denmark and Germany are also strong, but we have chances to win this competition,” said Petru Gozun. The competition will be judged by referees from nine countries, counting Denmark, Lithuania, Austria, the Czech Republic, Spain, Serbia, Australia, Ukraine, and Moldova. The main referee is Lennart Gordon from Denmark. The IDSF International Open Standard & Latin Competition “Codreanca 2011” will be held in Chisinau in parallel, on April 30 and May 1. It will involve dancers from five age brackets: Juveniles I and II, Juniors I and II, and Youth. The competition will take place at the Palace of the Republic. It is organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sport, the Dance Sport Federation of Moldova and “Codreanca” club. The total budget of the competition is about 600,000 lei. The Ministry contributes 100,000 lei. Last year, the World Youth 10-Dance Championships took place in Canada’s Toronto, where the pair Cristian Radvan and Tatiana Seliverstova of “Codreanca” won silver.
