“Panorama” intended as best Russian newspaper in Moldova

Journalist Dmitri Chubashenko Tuesday announced the launch of a new newspaper on the media market in Moldova, called “Panorama”. “I am the only founder of ”Panorama” and there are no political interests at stake,” Chubashenko told a news conference, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. Speaking about the costs of the project, Chubashenko said “Panorama” will not be the most expensive newspaper, but is designed to be the best Russian paper in Moldova. “On December 16, it will be 14 years since I took over the newspaper “Moldavskie Vedomosti”. A number of 1,194 newspaper numbers appeared under my management. We had many founders in the meantime and could work under normal conditions with them. But now I consider myself prepared to initiate my own business,” said the former editor-in-chief of “Moldavskie Vedomosti”. Dmitri Chubashenko said such a project can be implemented only now. “Under the Communist rule, it was practically impossible to launch a newspaper. Now the situation has changed, including in the mass media sector,” Chubashenko said. The first number of “Panorama” will come out on January 12, in A2 format, three times a week. Friday's number will contain 16 pages. Subscriptions can be taken out at any subscription unit.
