The legislative body confirmed three new members of the Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC) in posts. These are Dinu Ciocan, Nicolae Damaschin and Mariana Onceanu-Hadarca, who were sworn in in Parliament on May 12, Info-Prim Neo reports
The new members replaced Ruslan Plesca, Carmelia Albu and Valeriu Soltan, whose terms of office expired. The term of Ruslan Plesca expired when he was convicted of bribe taking by definitive court decision.
The three new members were selected in two stages. On April 6, the parliamentary commission on youth, sport and mass media questioned 21 candidates and chose 11 of them. In the second stage on April 20, the commission selected three candidates, who were presented to Parliament for confirmation.
The members of the BCC hold the post for six years.
