Parliament rejects PLDM’s bill on certification of medical devices

The MPs did not accept the Liberal-Democratic lawmakers’ bill that provided for the creation of a departmental unit within the Medicine Agency that would certify and register the medical devices brought into Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports. One of the authors of the bill, Vladimir Hotineanu said the MPs of the parliamentary commission that he heads did not approve of the bill. The certification of the medical devices would imply a tax and the prices of the medical services would increase, said lawmakers who rejected the bill. They stressed they see no logic as all the devices are certified in the countries from where they are imported.
