Pavel Ciobanu today won his third term as president of the Moldovan Football Federation (FMF) in a landslide victory, Info-Prim Neo reports. With 170 votes, Ciobanu easily defeated his rivals, who received merely 15 votes altogether. Alexandru Guzun got 10 votes, Gabriel Oprea 4 votes, Petru Efros 1 vote, and Vasile Vatamanu no vote. To the great indignation of Ciobanu's rivals, the vote was public. “What nerve must these people have when he (Pavel Ciobanu) looks them in the eye and they understand that they will get no money if they vote against?”, FIFA agent Petru Efros asked rhetorically.
