When the Government took over, its efforts were aimed at stabilizing the economic situation and unblocking foreign financing, but now the authorities are concentrated on the promotion of reforms and projects to modernize the country, Prime Minister Pavel Filip stated in a joint meeting of the central public administration and representatives of the local public authorities of Falesti district, IPN reports, quoting the executive’s press service.
In this regard, the Premier highlighted the central public administration reform launched to increase the efficiency of state institutions and the reforms initiated to improve the business climate, which generated economic growth, offering the state the possibility of making social investment. Pavel Filip noted that the new format of meetings that implies the intervention of the governmental team in each district will intensify the cooperation between the central public administration and the local public authorities and receptivity to the needs of the people.
In the meeting, inhabitants of the district complained about the low salaries in the budgetary sector that generate a shortage of staff in the public institutions, the water supply problem, local taxes and insufficient financing of education institution, the necessity of purchasing modern equipment for health facilities. As regards the water supply system in Falesti, the Premier said this subject is raised and they are considering the possibility of allocating financial resources for the purpose together with the Ministry of Finance.
Over 35 km of national and local roads will be repaired in Falesti district within the project “Good Roads for Moldova” that was launched by the Government this year. The cost of the works is over 41 million lei.
