In 2017 the Government laid the bases of reforms that are to produce results, Prime Minister Pavel Filip stated in the program “Reply” on Prime TV channel. According to him, the reform agenda was a very difficult, but necessary one, IPN reports.
According to the Premier, the people do not yet see the results of the pension reform as these are to appear in time. “What we did was to balance things and to restore social equity following the modification of the pension calculation formula. It’s true that the pension is small, but there is now this foundation and each rise or each possibility of indexing or raising the pension will be balanced as it will be directly proportional to the money with which the beneficiary contributed to the social funds,” stated Pavel Filip.
He noted that the central public administration reform wasn’t simple either. The legislative amendments concerning business were made in a move to ensure greater comfort for the business community. “I refer to the regulatory reform, the reduction in the number of permissive documents from 316 to 149, the reduction in the number of inspection bodies from 58 to 13, the amendment of the Labor Code, subsidization of newly created jobs and many other things,” stated the Premier.
Pavel Filip said that after 2016, last year was a year of stabilization from economic and political viewpoints.
