The sympathizers of the Communist Party, in a protest staged in the Great National Assembly Square on Friday, demanded that the Alliance for European Integration should resign, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“The alliance should understand that we do not support them. We cannot say that many things worsened, but the situation remained the same. They are not patriots because they want Moldova to unite with Romania,” said protester Tatiana Kudritskaya.
“I’m sure that all the people support us. The current administration is unconstitutional. They could not elect a head of state during almost three years. They elected the President now as they saw that the people started to protest against the rulers,” said Vlad Morozan.
Vasile said that the AEI’s place is not in power. “The rulers own large companies as they stole money from the people’s pockets. The honest people cannot earn such property in this country. They are traitors. We want to unite with Russia, not Romania” he stated.
According to the organizers, the social march and the protest staged in the Great National Assembly Square in Chisinau involved about 70,000 people. The police that maintained public order did not give figures. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, municipal police chief Silviu Musuc said he does not possess data yet. The head of the General Police Commissariat’s press office Adrian Jovmir said the police should maintain public order, not count the protesters.
