Employees of Moldova’s Post Office will start to take home pensions to pensioners next week. Contacted by IPN for a comment, Viorica Podoleanu, PR specialist at Moldova’s Post Office, said the pensions will be distributed on the usual pension collection day. The company’s employees will be accompanied by a police officer.

The pension will be taken home to persons older than 63 and to persons with disabilities. Viorica Podoleanu noted that the disability pensions could be received at home until now too, based on an application. The pension can be also collected by an authorized person based on a power of attorney.

The post offices next week will work as usual. Moldova’s Post Office assures it will cope with the pension distribution process as it does not face a shortage of staff at present.
