The people of art call on the population to take part in the public assembly that will take place in the Great National Assembly Square on November 3, IPN reports.
“We should not wait for things to improve themselves. Our indifference advantages only forces that are hostile to Moldova’s European integration and make everything possible to thwart the signing of the Agreements,” the people of art say in a public statement.
According to the artists, in the two decades of statehood it became evident that the European vector does not have an alternative in Moldova. The European Union is the only historical chance that Moldova must not miss. “We all want to have a European free, democratic and prosperous future and we will have it. We will succeed only by unity and genera mobilization. We will obtain it by our responsible commitment,” reads the statement.
The statement was signed by theater directors Alexandru Grecu and Titus Jucov, choreographers Vladimir Curbet and Antip Taralunga, filmmaker Vadim Prodan, composer Ilie Valuta, writers Ion Diviza and Gheorghe Balici, actors Petru Hadarca, Valeriu Cazacu, Iurie Negoita, Jan Cucuruzac, and Nicolae Darie, singers Ana Barbu, Gheorghe Topa, Anatol Marzencu, and Valy Boghean, and scene painter Vladimir Cantor.
On November 3, the parties of the government coalition will stage a pro-Moldova demonstration in central Chisinau to inform the people about the country’s European course and to find out their opinions on this course.
