A person suspected of killing Igor Turcanu was arrested for 72 hours, the head of the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office Maria Vieru has said. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, Maria Vieru said the suspect was arrested on September 26 and is held at the remand center of the General Police Commissariat. Igor Turcanu, the president of the National Tennis Federation and chief of the campaign staff of the candidate for mayor of Chisinau Mihai Godea, was seriously injured in a car explosion on June 7 and died several hours later in the hospital.
