The persons with sever locomotor disabilities will benefit from concessions on the import of vehicles adjusted to their needs in exchange for the allowances for trips by public units of transport, IPN reports, quoting a bill approved by the Government.

Thus, in the case of vehicles with an average cylindrical capacity of 1,250 cm³ and an average excise rate of 0.52 euros/cm³, the state will not collect excises to the value of about 11,000 lei.

Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family Valentina Buliga said that according to estimates, the value of exemptions on the import of a vehicle younger than seven, with a cylindrical capacity of over 1,000 cm³, but under 1,500 cm³, is equal to the value of the travel allowances received by persons with severe locomotor disabilities for using public transport during about seven years.
