Five youths, who were directly involved in the capture of two burglars and saved a girl from drowning in separate events, received awards from the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO). Buiucani district prosecutor Igor Popa congratulated the young people for their courage, reports Info-Prim Neo. In the first two cases, two citizens from the capital, Vasile Pandelea and Dumitru Roscovan helped stop two thieves: one had stolen the bag of a lady who was sunbathing in a park in the Riscani district, and another mugged a man who was walking on the street. In the other case three students from the Academy of Economic Studies, Ion Rotari, Victor Bradutan and Stanislav Catarama were celebrating graduation on the shore of a lake in the Riscani district, on July 15. The young men noticed a girl in the middle of the lake; she slipped out of the boat, and the boy who was with her drowned in an attempt to save her. They boys heard the girl’s cry for help and saved her.
