The placement center hosted by the Light Athletics Arena in Chisinau was closed by a decision of the Unified Crisis Management Center in connection with cost optimization in the management of the refugee crisis, IPN reports.

Since it was opened on March 1, the Arena hosted over 10,000 Ukrainian refugees. The 80 refugees that remained at the Arena were transferred to other temporary placement centers in the municipality of Chisinau.

The 104 authorized placement centers working in the country have almost 5,000 available places.
