Plays to be relaunched at National Opera House in May

A number of plays will be relaunch at the National Opera House this may. The orchestras will be directed by conductors from Moldova, Ukraine and the United States. The Ukrainian conductor Andrei Iurkevich will arrive in Chisinau on May 8. He will conduct the play “The Elixir of Love” by Donizetii. Another foreign conductor, Robert Luther from the U.S, will come to Moldova for the May 14 play “A Masked Ball” by Verdi. The part of Riccardo will be played by USSR people's artist Mihail Muntean. The senior conductor of the National Opera House Nicolae Dohotaru spoke about the results achieved by the theater's troupe recently. The National Opera House staged 50 plays in the Netherlands within a cultural project implemented by the company VDB Theatreproducties. In April, the troupe performed the ballet “The Beauty of the Sleeping Forest” in such Spanish cities as Madrid, Tarragona, Huesca, Vaalladolid, and Logrono under a project implemented with Grandes Eventos Artisticos.
