The police said they arrested two men who are suspected of beating a young man in front of a nightclub in Chisinau on May 18, who died in the hospital a week later.
According to the General Police Inspectorate, one of the suspects is aged 25 and is a K1 athlete. Criminal cases were started over hooliganism and medium and serious injuring that resulted in death. The culprits face up to 15 years in jail.
The man who died was aged 30. He was married and had a child aged seven.
