Police arrest woman suspected of human trafficking

A woman aged 20 from Anenii Noi district was arrested by the police on suspicion of trafficking in human beings. According to the Ministry of the Interior, the suspect recruited and transported Moldovan women to the Turkish town of Antalya for prostituting themselves, Info-Prim Neo reports. As a result of investigations, it was determined that the woman formed part of a criminal group, whose members had a well-planned role each. The Moldovan was responsible for recruiting needy grills and transporting them to Turkey. The other members, who were Turkish citizens, covered the travel expenses, found clients and collected payments from them. The woman took by about €1 000 for a girl taken to Turkey. There were identified two victims of this group, who are from Dubasari and Rybnitsa. Measures are taken to discover other victims and members of the group. The suspect faces up to seven years in jail if found guilty. The police warn the population, especially the young women, not to accept advantageous proposals made by unknown persons as they put their health and lives at risk.
