Anticorruption prosecutzors conducted searches at the National Investigation Inspectorate in an influence peddling case started in September 2020 and which involves three police officers, including two in leading positions.

The searches were conducted at the homes, offices and cars of the three police officers. The suspects have been formally charged and may not leave the city pending trial.

The suspects are accused of soliciting 130,000 euros from someone who was in trouble with the law, promising to convince prosecutors and investigators to close the case.
