The Buiucani District Court today extended by 30 days the arrest warrant for a traffic police inspector in Anenii Noi and three other men that are suspected of smuggling. The head of the district police commissariat, who is believed to be involved as well, will spend the next 30 days under a home arrest. The suspects were arrested on July 31 on charges of smuggling consumer goods from Ukraine. The goods found in the vehicle of one of the suspects and in a garage rented by them has been seized. The yet to be evaluated capture consists of clothes, footwear and office supplies.
