The General Police Inspectorate said that a group of protesting farmers tried to damage a police car and assaulted some officers on Hâncești Street in Chisinau.
 
Both the organizers and the people involved directly in the incident will face “corresponding charges”, the Inspectorate said, adding that it respects the right to peaceful assemblies, but condemns aggressive behavior.

Groups of farmers marched today from the provinces to Chisinau to protest the way the authorities are handling the crisis in agriculture.
