Prime Minister Pavel Filip on January 6 summoned the heads of the services responsible for emergencies in order to assess the risks related to the orange code advisory for bad weather, IPN reports, quoting the Government’s press service.
According to the information presented in the meeting, all the national and local roads are passable. A number of 476 pieces of machinery are ready to promptly intervene if need be.
The Premier was informed about the measures taken to reduce the risks caused by the low temperatures, to prepare the local subdivisions of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service for response to emergencies
Pavel Filip instructed the Ministry of Health to ensure the provision of medical assistance and the people’s access to all the national hospitals, while the Ministry of Education was requested to prepare the education institutions for the return of students from vacation.
