Prime Minister Pavel Filip instructed the responsible institutions to ensure order at the customs posts, including during the Easter holidays. Thus, the Customs Service and the Border Police are to identify solutions and measures to avoid the formation of lines at border crossing points given that many Moldovans working or living abroad usually return home for Easter, IPN reports.
The Premier requested the Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure to submit proposals for ensuring that the vignette (road toll) is paid at gas stations too, not only at customs posts. The software should be extended so that Moldova could employ the relevant methods used in other countries.
Pavel Filip asked to increase the number of employees on duty during the Easter holidays and to train the officers of the Customs Service and the Border Police so that these have an appropriate and respectful behavior towards people.
