The documents based on which Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici was admitted to the Academy of Economic Studies (ASEM) and the Slavonic University are being examined by the police. It is suspected that the Premier holds a false Baccalaureate diploma and a criminal case was thus started over this case. Such an answer was provided by the Ministry of Education following an inquiry made by MP Valeriu Munteanu. The Ministry specified that Chiril Gaburici wasn’t issued with a Baccalaureate diploma, IPN reports.
In its answer, the Ministry says that the Prosecutor General’s Office was asked to investigate the inadvertencies that appeared in the information about the studies of Chiril Gaburici. The Slavonic University informed the Ministry that Gaburici was admitted to this University based on the academic standing of 1995-1999 from the ASEM, but the ASEM informed that Chiril Gaburici was expelled in 1997.
The press reported earlier that it’s not known based on what documents Chiril Gaburici was admitted to the ASEM and then to the Slavonic University as he didn’t take the Baccalaureate exams and was expelled from the National College of Microelectronics and Computing Machines.
