Prime Minister Vlad Filat on June 1 visited the oncopediatric section of the Oncology Institute and brought gifts to the about 30 children receiving treatment there, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Government.
The Premier also went to the Medical Imagistic Center that was recently outfitted with ecography and elastography equipment and the Video Endoscopy Center, where there are detected tumors in the digestive tract, especially stomach and intestine tumors.
“I visited my little friends, who were hospitalized here. They deserve what’s best. I call on everyone to help those in need. Only together can we build a better future for our children. We solve the existing problems step by step. There is yet a lot of work to do and it is important that things go on,” said Vlad Filat.
Speaking about the outfitting of the two centers with modern equipment, the Premier said he was satisfied that such an important investment was made. More than 800 children suffering from different oncological and hematological diseases are treated at the oncopediatric section every year.
