The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration informed that from April 1 this year the procedure for obtaining visas for the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland will be modified given that the Visa Application Centre (VAC) of Teleperformance Ltd starts work in Chisinau. The company was contracted by the British government to ensure the processing of applications for visas, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from the Ministry.

Thus, the applications for visas will be submitted at the VAC, not at the British Embassy in Chisinau, as earlier. The Center will also collect biometric data, will provide courier services and will facilitate the interviewing of applicants. It will logistically organize the visa issuing process, but the decision whether to issue or deny a visa will be taken by the British Embassy in Warsaw, as until now.

In addition to the consular tax for visa, there will be charged a tax of £59 (€72) for the services provided by the Center. Appointments at the VAC can be scheduled after this tax is paid. The Visa Application Centre is located at Chisinau 49/3 Tighina St, office 54.
