The public association "Save Chisinau" organized a public lecture that was held by architect Sergius Ciocanu. The lecture focused on the evolution of Chisinau, its development and transformation into an important economic and administrative center, IPN reports.
According to architect and scientific researcher Sergius Ciocanu, the city began to grow territorially by incorporating the villages Buiucani and Chisinau, which became important districts/slums of the locality in that period.
The architect spoke about the communities that existed at that time, about the economic evolution, the fires witnessed by Chisinau and the wars that the current capital city of the country experienced in the 13th century.
This is the second of the four events staged within the project "Chisinau City: Urban Evolution and Cultural Heritage", funded by the Ministry of Culture as part of the funding program "Cultural Projects Competition 2024".
