The public sector employees will have away from work during April 27-30 as well, except for some of the institutions that provide public services. Depending on the evolution of the pandemic, the given employees could return to the usual work program as of May 4. A decision to this effect was taken by the Commission for Exceptional Situations on April 24, IPN reports.
Prime Minister Ion Chicu said that the employees of the Public Services Agency, the National House of Social Insurance, the National Health Insurance Company return to work on April 27.
The public transport in the municipalities of Chisinau and Bălți on April 27 will not run.
Premier Chicu reminded that the Sunday of the Dead will not be celebrated on April 26-27, but in June. Now the citizens are banned from going to the cemeteries.
A state of emergency was declared in Moldova until May 15. The number of confirmed infections with COVID-19 now stands at 3,110. The infectious disease caused 87 deaths in Moldova so far.
