The Public Services Agency will deal with the applications to take part in the 2% distribution mechanism and will compile the list of beneficiaries in this regard.

Under the new provisions, the list of beneficiaries that can take part in the given mechanism will be compiled annually and will be published on the Agency’s website by December 31 of the year for which the 2% of the income tax paid by private individuals is transferred to those eligible, IPN reports.

The law by which the 2% distribution mechanism is made the responsibility of the Public Services Agency instead of the Ministry of Justice took effect on December 21, 2018. This April, in connection with the reform initiated by the Government to concentrate the public services at one state institutions, the Agency was also empowered to register noncommercial organizations instead of the Ministry of Justice.
