The band Acord – the favorite of the public in the Eurovision 2012 national preselection contest – is a leader by the number of appearances in the media, according to Real Time Monitoring ESC 2012. During January 16 – March 7 (11.00), their song was broadcast 1 275 times on the 28 radio stations and 17 TV channels monitored. The data were presented in a news conference, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Adrian Ursu comes next. His song was broadcast 813 times. There is stiff competition between Cristina Croitoru and Alexandru Manciu. There is a difference of only two appearances between their songs. The rankings also include Pasha Parfeny, Transbalkanica, Inaya, Irina Tarasiuc feat MC Guta, and Doinita Gherman. The Top Ten list is closed by Geta Burlacu’s song with 128 appearances.
According to the director of the project Alexandru Popovich, though Acord had been at the top of the preferences in the monitored period, the fight in the final will be between Pasha Parfeny and Cristina Croitoru. “Acord went through to the final owing to the public’s support and the jury will most probably not choose it,” he stated.
The national final will take place on March 11.
