The police discovered pyrotechnics to the value of 33,000 lei without documents of origin in a toy shop in Drochia town. The shop owner faces a fine of 10,000 lei and confiscation of the merchandise, IPN reports.
According to the General Police Inspectorate, firecrackers can be sold in shops and markets on condition that certificates of origin and a license issued by the Licensing Chamber are possessed.
The police warn the population that it is dangerous to purchase pyrotechnics from unauthorized place. According to the National Prehospital Emergency Medicine Center, a man from Chisinau municipality was rushed to the hospital with burns caused by firecrackers on New Year’s Eve.
