The quantity of water in soil exceeded the norm for May, especially in northern Moldova, the head of the National Weather Forecasts Center Victoria Moiseichev has told IPN.

“However, there are regions facing a shortage of water because the rain loses from intensity until it reaches the southern part,” said Victoria Moiseichev.

According to the National Weather Forecasts Center, after the May 27 rain the amount of water in soil in Soroca rose to 27 liters per square meter, while at the weather stations in Bravicea, Codri and Leova – to 24 liters per square meter.

On May 28, the weather will grow warmer, but will become unstable again after June 1. There will be precipitation again.
