The number of subscribers to rebroadcasted channels increased by more than 11% from 2010 to 2011 and reached the figure of 255,400, according to a preliminary report of the National Regulatory Agency in Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI), Info-Prim Neo reports. A press release of ANRCETI informs that the biggest growth was registered in the sector of rebroadcasting digital channels. The number of subscribers doubled over the year. The amount of multichannel TV sales increased by 24% since 2010 and rose to 283.3 million lei, while the monthly income of providers per subscriber was 58.63 lei. The biggest growth came for cable providers. Sun Communications and Moldtelecom registered the biggest sales. 118 providers operated on the multichannel TV market. The most significant market shares are those of Sun Communications – 49.04%, Moldtelecom – 22.49%, AMT – 4.7%, CTC Alfa – 2.55%. The other providers account for 21.22% of the market. ANRCETI will publish a more detailed report about the evolution of electronic communications market in 2011 until April 30.
