The National House of Social Insurance (CNAS) transferred 270.4 million lei for paying social welfare, including allowances for families with children and allowances for temporary incapacity for work, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the institution.

A sum of 54.2 million lei will go on maternity benefits, 15.6 million lei on single childbirth allowances, 24.6 million lei on monthly childcare allowances paid up to the child’s age of 2, 94.7 million lei on monthly childcare allowances paid up to the child’s age of 3, 966,800 lei on monthly childcare allowances intended for twins and more children born at one time paid up to the child’s age of 3, and 1.6 million lei on paternity benefits.

Transfers were also made for paying the other social benefits, such as compensations and assistance to persons involved in the Chernobyl cleanup, lifetime allowances intended for sportspersons and the unemployment benefit.

The money was transferred to Moldova’s Post Office and banks that signed contracts for the provision of social benefit distribution services with the CNAS.
