The National House of Social Insurance transferred 20 million lei for paying allowances for temporary incapacity for work to 10,000 recipients. The money can be collected from banks or from any post office, regardless of the domicile, IPN reports, quoting a press release.

The allowances for temporary incapacity for work paid from the state social insurance budget are set in a differentiated way, depending on the length of the contributory period.  

This allowance represents 60% of the calculation basis if the contributory period is of less than five years, 70% of the calculation basis if the contributory period is of five to eight years and 90% of the calculation basis if the contributory period is of over eight years. The allowance for temporary incapacity for work caused by tuberculosis, AIDS or cancer represents 100%.
