The benefit for refugees in 2009 was set at 314 lei a month in accordance with article 23 of the Law on Refugees, which says that the allowance should not be higher than 10% of the average monthly salary in the economy, Info-Prim Neo reports. Nine persons received such benefit last year, when it was 263 lei. A social integration of refugees project will be launched on April 1. It is implemented with the support of international organizations. There will be identified durable and efficient methods of supporting the refugees, similar to those used in the EU.
