The authorities Saturday performed a rehearsal of the ceremony that will take place at the Memorial Complex “Eternity” on May 9. Attending the exercises, Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Moldovan has told Info-Prim Neo that the celebration of the Day of Victory against fascism will start at 10.00 with a meeting where President Nicolae Timofti, Speaker Marian Lupu and Prime Minister Vlad Filat as well as veterans and a twelfth grader will give speeches. Flowers will be laid at the ‘eternal fire’ and the Grieving Mother monument at 10.30. The ceremony will close with a march of the Guard of Honor. Afterward, the veterans will lay flows at the plaques commemorating the heroes killed in battle. The traditional campaign kitchen for veterans will be set up in the square of the National Opera House. The district head’s offices of Chisinau will give commemoration meals. A May 9 festivity will be also staged at the Memorial Complex “Serpeni Bridge Head”, which will involve Deputy Prime Minister Eugen Carpov and local authorities.
