Priest Anatol Cibric, who is the bishop of Saint Parascheva Church, said the homosexuality imposed by the West, the plays similar to The Monologues of the Vagina, the abortions and the revels in the Great National Assembly Square, including on the Independence Day, are among the most serious problems faced by the society. The priest said the society can reach God only if the people detach themselves from all the sins.
The new technologies and blasphemy invaded the society, endanger the good faith and make the people tolerate the sins. The people forgot what confession and love for the fellows are. Related statement were made during the third theological conference themed “Confession of Faith: between Love and Tolerance” on Monday, February 8. Several hundreds of clerics and invitees attended the conference, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“The new technologies invaded the society and revealed all the sins, while the people, in order to be modern and keep abreast of all the latest developments, tolerate them and such blasphemous behaviors as homosexuality, prostitution, drug addictiveness, abortion and euthanasia that hide under the umbrella of tolerance,” said His Holiness Vladimir, the Metropolitan Bishop of Chisinau and All Moldova.
The Bishop called on the society to avoid committing sins. “We are urged to avoid the temptations and to take care of the soul. The TV set and the computer bombard the society, but the people tolerate and forget what good faith is,” he said.
Viorel Rusu, bishop of the Church in Floreni village of Anenii Noi district, said the people should go to confession. “We must confess our sins and pray for God's forgiveness. The society today is divided, but the confession and love can unite us.”
The first theological conference took place in 2005, while the second in 2007.
