Road accidents cause new victims
Two persons were killed and 33 injured in traffic accidents in Moldova during the last three days.
Tudor Capatana, of the Traffic Police Division's PR department, has told Info-Prim Neo that a 61-year-old man from Bujor village of Hancesti district was killed when he was struck by a car drive by a man aged 19.
An inebriated man driving an Opel-Vectra lost control of the car near Anenii-Noi town. The car overturned and went into a tree. A passenger aged 27 died on the spot, while another one of 38 was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver escaped unhurt.
A car driven by a woman aged 19 through Alexeevca village of Floresti district skidded, overturned and crashed into a tree. Two female passengers aged 30 and 24 sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital.
A 15-year-old boy from Corestauti village in Ocnita district was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries, including fractures of the pelvic bones, left femur and ribs and traumatic shock, after he was hit by a car.
A minor aged 14 was struck by a Dacia-Logan car, of the 1422 taxi service, and got his femur broken.
