Three persons were killed in traffic accidents in Moldova on Sunday, April 25. Tudor Capatana, spokesman for the Traffic Police Division, has told Info-Prim Neo that in all the three cases the drivers were speeding. A woman aged 68 was struck by a Mitsubishi car when she was crossing the street. She died on the spot. The accident happened in Alexandru cel Bun village in Soroca district, not far from the state border. A Peugeot driven by a 44-year-old man overturned on the Balti – Falesti street and stopped into a channel. The driver died in the hospital. In the third case, an Opel-Vectra driven by a man aged 26 turned upside down on the Donduseni-Drochia road. The driver and two passengers were rushed to the hospital. One of them, aged 24, died shortly afterward. The other two suffered traumas of the backbone and thorax. The 14 accidents that happened on Moldova's roads on Sunday resulted in three deaths and 14 persons injured.
