Seven Chisinau streets had been washed last night. Contacted by IPN, deputy head of the municipal road maintenance company “Exdrupo” Vasile Panico said the effect wasn’t the expected one and they thus decided to give up washing the streets.

He added that they will return to street washing when the waste that appeared after antiskid material was spread on the streets is removed manually.

The streets washed last night are: Stefan cel Mare si Sfant, Grigore Vieru, Constantin Negruzzi, Ion Creanga, Gagarin, Pushkin, and Mitropolit Gavriil Banulescu-Bodoni. The washing of 1,000 square meters of streets costs 100 to 150 lei, depending on the width of the roadway.
