Romania offers Moldova €15 million to fight climate change
Romania offers €15 million to Moldova for projects to fight climate change. According to a press release of the Romanian Embassy in Chisinau, the financial support is part of the Agreement between Romanian and Moldovan Governments for 2010-2012, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The priorities of this funding were established in 2010. Romania will cover a significant part of the financing for the selected projects, as long as concrete proposals are received from the Moldova.
As a result of the collaboration with the Moldovan Ministry of Environment in the area of water management, Romania will organize the first meeting of the Intergovernmental Hydro-technical Commission for the completing of the Agreement between Moldovan and Romanian Governments regarding the protection and safe use of the Prut and Danube Rivers’ waters.
In addition, it is planned to hold a seminar on the implementation of the Management Plan according to the Framework Directive on Water and experience exchange in water management.
