Romanian ambassador to travel to Falesti to see how donated wheat was distributed
Romania's Ambassador to Moldova Marius Lazurca will travel to Falesti district in north-western Moldova to see how the wheat donated by Romania earlier this fall helped farmers overcome the effects of this summer's drought, the Romanian Embassy said in a press release.
In this context, Marius Lazurca plans to meet with Agriculture Minister Vasile Bumacov, National Farmers Federation president Valeriu Cosarciuc, Falesti-based farmers and Falesti district officials that participated in the distribution of the Romanian aid.
The Romanian donation in the form of 112 tonnes of food-grade wheat, which the Embassy says was a gesture in the spirit of the close relationship with Moldova, arrived in Moldova in early October.
