The best, newest and most popular Romanian movies will be screened at the Romanian Film Festival in Chisinau between October 2 and 8. Famous actors, directors and film critics are expected to come to the festival, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The festival is organized by the Cultural Romanian Institute with support from the Embassy of Romania in Chisinau, the Odeon Cultural Center, Moldova-Film Studio and the National Center of Cinematography.
In a communique, the Odeon Cultural Center says that the following films will be presented during the festival: “Sport Fishing” (Adrian Sitaru), “Boogie” (Radu Muntean), “The Rest is Silence” (Nae Caranfil), “The Foreign Currency Exchange” (Nicolae Margineanu), “Niki Ardelean, Colonel in Reserve” (Lucian Pintilie), “The Elevator” (George Dorobantu), “Overlapped Meetings” (Anca Damian), “The Italian Women” (Napoleon Helmis), “Tache” (Igor Cobileanschi), “The Waves” (Adrian Sitaru), “Tertium Non Datur” (Lucian Pintilie), “Good Sunbathing Day” (Bogdan Mustata) and “Challenge Day” (Napoleon Helmis).
The guests of honor of the Romanian Film Festival in Chisinau will include actor Adrian Titieni, directors Nicolae Margineanu and George Dorobantu and film critic Marian Tutui.
The opening of the festival will be preceded by a news conference by the organizers.
The films will be screened at Odeon starting at 18.00 and 20.00. Entrance is free of charge.
The Romanian Film Festival was to be held during April 11-17, but was postponed owing to the April 6-7 protests in Chisinau.
