The Embassy of Romania in Moldova announced that a series of events dedicated to the Romanian Language will be held in Comrat on September 7-9. During the three days, there be shown films and staged theater performances.
The third international conference “Language, Ethnicity, Communication” will take place at Romania’s Information Center housed by the State University of Comrat on the first day.
On the second day, the public will watch Romanian movies with subtitles in Russian, namely “Orient Express”, “Wedding in Bessarabia”, and “The Rest is Silence”.
The third day, entitled “Day of Romanian Theater”, will include such theater performances as “The Voice of the National Patriot”, “A Stormy Night” and “Chirita in the Province”. The plays will be put on in the Hall of the European Center in Comrat.
The event is organized in partnership with the State University of Comrat, the Information Center of Romania, the Romanian Cultural Institute “Mihai Eminescu” in Chisinau, TVR Moldova, and Radio Chisinau.
