From January 1, 2014, servicemen working on a contract basis in national defense bodies will receive a salary bonus of 30%, IPN reports, quoting a decision approved by the Government.

The measure applies to the personnel and command bodies of the Carabineer Troops Department, the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, the General Police Inspectorate and other institutions with police functions of the Ministry of the Interior as well as the personnel of the Special Couriers Service.

A sum of 84.3 million lei was allocated from the state budget for the purpose.
