Sappers disarm three WWII explosives

Three explosive objects – two 120 mm and 182 mm mines, and a 76 mm artillery shell from the period of the Second World War – have been detected by the bomb disposal squad of the National Army in Volintiri Village, Stefan-Voda district, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a press release from the Ministry of Defense. According to Cpt. Sergiu Chilivnic, specialist with the Engineer Service of the National Army, the detected explosive were in an advanced state of decay and could have detonated at any moment. The sappers destroyed the findings in a pit near the village. The Engineer Service of the National Army reported that in September seven other explosive objects had been found in two locations in the southern part of the country. From the beginning of the year there were disarmed 830 explosives in different regions of Moldova.
