Gheorghe Urschi is very attentive to the mistakes committed by the governors as his task is to identify their faults and weaknesses. “Satire remains in the Opposition no matter who governs,” the humorist told Info-Prim Neo.
“Imagine Gheorghe Urschi going on stage and starting to praise the regime. The people will believe that I am out of my mind,” said the artist.
The humorist said that many important events happened in Moldova and he will expect things to calm down. “Until I’m not convinced of certain things, I will not take the pen. I will attack no one if I do not have proofs,” Gheorghe Urschi said.
Urschi considers that the artists have been the least affected by the political, constitutional and even economic crisis as the Moldovan people know how to combine happiness and sadness in the hardest moments of life.
“A crisis for me is when I lose my inspiration and cannot write, compose a monologue, when I am not asked to perform,” Urschi said. “If nothing of these happens, the crisis is something abstract for me.”
If inspiration at the people or art comes when it wants, at Gheorghe Urschi it comes when he calls it. “I do not expect it, I just call it,” the artist joked. “If the muse does not come, Liza comes and we anyway have what to do,” he laughed.
Urschi considers that 2009 was an ordinary year. “I dealt with all the challenges and went on. I hope 2010 will not be worse.”
Meanwhile, Gheorghe Urschi continues to give recitals and present a program on the national television channel. He already thinks of 2013, when he will reach a nice age and will have to organize a large-scale party.
