Scandal in national futsal championship
The match between Lexmax Chisinau and Tarsus Chisinau didn't take place because the guests didn't have enough players, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Initially, the Tarsus' technical staff wanted to use five players from Ukraine, but the foreigners didn't have all their papers ready, so they weren't allowed to play. As a result, the futsal federation ruled a technical 5-0 defeat against Tarsus.
“According to the championship regulation, foreigners cannot play without a residence and work permit in Moldova. Tarsus were warned with a couple of days in advance”, explained Iurie Conusevici, the match observer.
The score of matchday two was set by JLC Chisinau, who bested 7-1 Sokol-PGU.
In another game, debutants Atletico Chisinau bested city rivals El Paso 3-1.
The next games are scheduled for November 3: Lexmax – El Paso, Atletico – JLC and Sokol-PGU – Tarsus.
