Scholarship Fair to take place in Chisinau
Chisinau will host for the first time a Scholarship Fair intended for Moldovan young persons who want to continue their studies abroad. The fair will take place at the Municipal Library “B.P. Hasdeu” on October 7, from 15.00 to 18.00, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The Scholarship Fair 2009 is organized by the University Information Center in cooperation with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the French Alliance in Moldova.
According to the head of the University Information Center Angela Muset, national and regional scholarships will be offered at the fair.
“We aim to inform the Moldovan young people about the option of studying abroad on a scholarship. Many countries do so,” Angela Muset told Info-Prim Neo
The scholarships are intended for twelfth graders, students and applicants for master's degree and doctoral degree.
Renowned institutions from Europe, Canada and the U.S. will present their offers at the fair. They include the American University in Bulgaria, the Central European University in Budapest, the University of Oxford, Maastricht University and others.
Angela Muset said that the German Academic Exchange Service will provide the young people with the list of German universities, while the French Alliance – with the list of French universities.
The main requirements towards those who want to study abroad are: good academic records, proficiency in English, French or German, plus motivation.
The information and consultancy provided at the Scholarship Fair 2009 will be free of charge.
